Introduction

The Department of Education of Women's College, Agartala, has been making ceaseless efforts to impart quality teaching to students as well as to create intensive interest for learning among the students. It is to be noted here that the girl students get themselves admitted in this department as the subject Education helps in our everyday life as well as in teaching profession and the teachers take care of them as much as possible to make the students conscious of present social situation, ability to adjust themselves in future life. The department of education is dedicated in building the bright future of the students and makes them aware about the duties and responsibilities towards the nation.

Activities of the Department

Apart from regular and routine wise teaching and learning activities, the department also arrange discussions, mini workshops etc. for the betterment of students. Teachers inspire the students for many other activities such as cultural activities, sports, etc.

Present position of the Alumni

Education department, Women's College is proud of many Alumni's being established in different fields of profession in Tripura and out of Tripura. Smt. Gopa Roy Chowdhury (HOD) and Associate Professor, Dr. Purba Sen(Assistant Professor), Smt. Sarmila Nath (PGT), of this department are the ex-students of this college. Smt. Chameli Bhattacharjee, Mamata Bhattacharjee, Smt. Mukul Bhowmik-Associate Professor of different degree colleges in Tripura are the ex-students of this college, and so many personalities holding good status in different spheres of profession and in society.
