Introduction
The Department of Environmental Science was established in the year 2014. The department is interdisciplinary in nature and course structure is based on knowledge of environmental degradation, analytical and restoration technique and natural resource management strategy. The Environmental Science is an interdisciplinary program that focuses on the state of the environment and serious environmental problems that the world faces. The department is equipped with laboratory and facility of ecological studies like biodiversity estimation, forestry, physicochemical analysis of soil and water, biogeochemical cycling etc. Presently two courses viz. B.Sc Environmental Science (Elective) & Environment studies (Foundation Course) are being successfully run by the Departments.

Laboratory Facilities
The department is having well equipped laboratory with a facility of ecological and forest studies, climatic data collection, physicochemical analysis of soil, water analysis, noise level and light intensity measurement etc.
